Gabriel joined the Brook Farm team in 2016 as a Lodge Attendant and Animal Care Assistant. After an injury ended his career in law enforcement, Gabriel returned to his original love of animals and has been serving and protecting the non-human population of the Hudson Valley ever since. Gabe is completing his Veterinary Technician Degree at the State University of New York at Ulster where he also co-teaches restraint techniques to up-and-coming techs.
Gabriel fills up his free time with two dogs, eighteen snakes, two lizards, three frogs, and eight turtles/tortoises, including an alligator snapper named Munster. He also enjoys practicing jiu-jitsu, hiking, and strength training. Gabe volunteers his time regularly at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County and through the many opportunities afforded to him at Brook Farm.
